Interesting Veggie

This was our veggie with dinner the other night. Interesting huh! We thought it looked awesome and had to take pictures. It is an Italian Cauliflower. It tasted like a broccoli/cauliflower mix, it wasn't bad. It came in our veggie basket last week. If anyone is interested this is the website for the baskets, bountifulbaskets.org every other Saturday you get a laundry basket full of fruits and veggies for $15.00. There are locations all over the valley.

Brothers

Brothers... Right now they seem to like each other, sometimes too much. Zackary loves to give kisses, hugs, he tries to pick him up, a little scary if you ask me. He will grab him by the waist and start dragging him. Lane is growing so fast, I'm sure it has to do with his safety. I actually got them both to sit still for the camera, well Zackary that is. Not too much longer and they will be wrestling.

Random Things

These are just a few pictures of what goes on at our house lately...

Yes, I carry my baby down the stairs in a laundry basket to save trips up and down the stairs, also notice the phone and water bottle.
I think he likes it.

This is Zackary's new thing, trying to take of his shirts, he just can't quite get it off the right way, he is going for the flash dance look. Oh and everything in our house is always buckled... the swing, baby chairs, high chairs, car seats. He feels they all need to be buckled when not is use.

This is the famous drawer. "The Man Drawer" with all the unsafe child objects. He actually got his shirt off this time.

Fine Dining

Fine dining at the Allan house has sure changed. Yes, we ate dinner tonight at the little tiny table. Check out Aaron on the little chair, so sweet. Zackary had a blast, he even moved the chairs for all of us. Sometimes getting him to come to the dinner table just isn't worth it. We actually enjoyed ourselves.

Nice Rolls!

Baby Lane is huge! I just had to show off his great rolls. These pictures don't even do them justice. This was after his long day of hiking in the Bjorn, in which he thoroughly enjoyed. I have a feeling he is going to be even bigger than Zackary. Look out!

Hiking

On MLK day we went to Boyce Thompson Arboretum with the Fox Family. What a great day hiking with friends (practically family). The weather was amazing, it almost seemed like late spring. Check out Zackary, he kept up with the big kids the entire time; hiking, running, and climbing. Matthew, Jacob, and Kathryn all entertained Zackary so much and took such good care of him climbing on the rocks. I guess we no longer need the stroller for him, he's a trooper. Lane got to ride in the Bjorn...he loves it. Yes, his shirt says Go Giants.

Boots

I just had to post more pictures of the boots. I just can't get enough. Playing outside with only an undershirt, diaper, and 'the boots.' Aaron took him upstairs to get a bath and didn't make it very far, only the pants made it off...he showed up downstairs to put on the boots and head outside.

Forced Friends

Check this out. Lane is exactly 1 month older than Baby K. I can't believe the difference. We are talking around a 6lb difference. He's huge! I bet he is thinking "Steamroll!!!"
These are all the children that are going to be 'forced friends' because all their parents are best friends. Suppose they will all like each other? We sure hope so. So far so good, they all play very well together. We really struggled to get all of them in one shot, it wasn't very successful. We were afraid someone was going to get crushed.

Nice birdy

I thought this picture was quite comical. Baby Lane was pretty much flipping me the bird. It looks like the pacifier wasn't exactly what he had in mind.

Into Trouble

I apparently wasn't thinking. I pulled a chair over to the counter so Zackary could help make some frosting for the cupcakes I had to make one night. I taught him a very bad thing, well bad for me, I should say. Now I continually hear the chair being moved over to the counter to get into all sorts of new things that have never been seen before. I keep finding fruit that has a couple of little bits in them. Nice!
This is another daily battle of mine, which Aaron just doesn't understand. You see, Aaron has this drawer, as he calls it, "the man drawer." It has all sorts of NOT child safe items, such as, keys, screw drivers, gum, coins, pens, markers, matches... as you can see in the picture. He was playing with a full box of matches, they were everywhere. I know the kid is already into fire, this is not a good sign.

Razor

Zackary got this little Razor scooter from Uncle Mark and Aunt Celia for Christmas. It took him a little while to figure it out. We actually walked around the block the other day with him walking and pushing the scooter instead of riding it. It took a long time but he was quite proud of himself.

Smiles!

We are officially getting smiles and coos out of Lane, and they are oh so cute. He is seven weeks old now and we can't believe his size. At six weeks he was just shy of 13lbs. Yes, we are gaining a pound a week. He's huge! We love the sturdy baby. I think he is growing so fast because he can't take the torture from the two year old much longer.

Little Otis

I decided to post a picture of Little Otis, Aaron thought he had been neglected on the blog recently. The poor guy can hardly see right now. He is in dire need of a hair cut. But he is just so cute.

My Favorites

My little Zackary. It is unbelievable how much you can love someone. He is just perfect. I couldn't ask for a better child. He brings us so much laughter and energy, everyday gets better and better with him.
This is such a candid shot of Aaron and Zackary. This goes on daily at our house. Playing, wrestling, you name it, it is happening.
Yes, I was captured doing
"So Big"
What peace and joy a new baby brings. Lane is such a blessing to us. He is such a wonderful and happy baby. It is amazing how much love you can give to children... it is endless. I absolutely love being a mom and couldn't ask for anything more.
I am so in love with my family.

Fire!

Boys and fire, what is the obsession? I learned it starts at a young age. Aaron decided to have a "little" fire. Zackary loved it, all he could say was "fire, neat" We all enjoyed the fire for quite a while. Zackary did great staying away, however it still made me nervous. Isn't this a great shot of boys and fire.

New Years Party!

We had a great time on New Years, we had a wonderful dinner at our friends house, we all brought our kiddos and had a relaxing time. Good friends, food, and wine, what more can you ask for. We live just down the street, so of course we took the wagon, baby Lane hitched a ride in the Bjorn. Zackary and Henry made it until midnight with out meltdowns, what little troopers. Zackary started to fall asleep on the way home around 12:30! Does this mean party animal? Happy New Years to everyone!
