Fall Day 2

We woke up and had a nice little leisurely breakfast.  Then headed to Starbucks of course, then off to Out of Africa for the day.  Remember last year... when we showed up and nobody was there.
Well we picked a good weekend this time.  Notice cars in the parking lot but not too many.

I was pretty impressed with how interactive it is and how close you get to all the animals.  Check out this giraffe that was seriously licking the lady right in front of me.  I chose to only feed him and not make out with him.

There isn't a ton of places to eat.
We just sat in the parking lot for a nice little lunch.

Laura as volunteered by her lovely brother to get over her fear of snakes.  With a 17 foot python.  I'm not sure it worked but it sure made for good pictures and conversation.

After a long day and no naps, Chloe couldn't make it any longer once we hit the dark reptile encounter.  Sissy did so good.
I would totally recommend heading up there during the nice weather months.  The kids really enjoyed it too.

Fall

Wow, there is really a fall in Arizona.  We headed north because we had some passes to Out of Africa that we got last year and decided to make it a quick little overnight trip with our little travel buddies Laura, Glen, and Lauren.  Here is our attempt at getting us all together in one shot.  It's pretty much impossible.

It was chilly... How about these iPhone photos?
I think they are pretty impressive for a little phone.

I really wish we could have raked up all the leaves to jump in.  Maybe someday...

Dust Devil Park

Well, he did it again.  My main squeeze created another amazing park for everyone  people on the Westside to enjoy.  We, however, got to enjoy the opening morning at the park with the kids.  I love taking tours of his creations.  He amazes me every time.  They always get better too.  Here are some pictures I took with my trusty iPhone.

Little do most people know that there is a meaning behind everything he designs.  I love to hear about all the features that most people don't get the explanation about.  I guess I'm just the lucky one.

As you can see there was a pretty amazing turn out for the grand opening.
There is even a skate park
Oh, and my cute little muffin having a blast on the swing.
Congrats Aaron on another beautiful park!

A Farewell to Big Betty

For all of you that know Big Betty...  It was a tragic loss on Halloween.  She was all dressed up and ready to go.  Just don't judge my cat face.  We really can only have one creative and artistically talented person in the house.  And we all know who that it...so back to the point.  She was happily sitting (so I thought) in a chair cup holder.  You know, the super comfy lawn chairs with built in cup holders.  Well all the sudden she just decided to jump... It was all over from there.  I had no one to blame it on but myself.  No one was near.  Perhaps she had felt neglected over the past few months, I'm not sure.   I can only wonder.
Beautiful Betty, her costume, and my wine, gone, forever...
We had to have the proper final picture.
Oh how I will miss Betty.

Halloween 2012

We had another amazing Halloween this year.  We did our standard block party with our wonderful neighbors and family.  We get tons of pizza, drinks, and candy have have a good time.

Here is some of the little kid crew.

My littles all dressed up.

This costume is so fitting for Aaron.  He can totally pull it off.

Here are some more of the little kid crew.

And the big boys.  You can't tell me this isn't the best neighborhood and best Halloween party ever.

Little missy stopping for a bite of candy.  She figured this trick or treating thing out pretty fast.

Happy Halloween!
