Today was the opening of Western Powerline Trail Park in downtown Gilbert that Aaron designed. This is just on of the 3 water features that he designed. Yes, he did it all, down to each bolt holding it together. This job has been going on for several years and has caused tons of grief, but all worth it. It turned out amazing. Gilbert now has great public art and beautiful parks to enjoy downtown. This is my favorite water feature of the 3. I have to say my husband is AMAZING at what he does. Sometimes I give him a hard time about what he does all day, (he knows way too much random information) but he really does work...heehee. Aaron, congratulations on the completion of the parks in Gilbert, I am so proud of you and your work. You show true talent. Thanks to everyone for supporting him and J2 and joining us for the opening of the parks.
I woke up this morning with lots of boys in the bed (sounds exciting eh.) As I look back at this picture, where were Aaron and I sleeping? Lane loves to sleep on his belly, especially in the early morning. I know it is really bad to put him in bed pretty much every morning, but he sleeps so well on his belly and I am too paranoid not to have him right next to me. Zackary is now climbing out of his crib after every nap and night to come get us. His famous words "bubba good nap" regardless if how long he slept. We need to transition to a bed, the plan is after potty training is successful. He fell back asleep with us this morning, I love the snuggling in the morning, nothing beats those moments.
I just thought this was a cute picture of baby Lane. I can't believe how much he is changing everyday.
This is our celebration picture. We made it though another day with no accidents. Does that make it official? Is he Potty Trained? We stayed home from Rolly Pollies today just to make sure we focused all of our time to practicing. Liz, Ryan, and Katelyn came over and he still told me when he needed to go. I was so proud. I did however miss one time, but he pulled down the undies and peed outside in the rocks. I guess boys can do that right? I had to give him credit, he was outside and needed to go, we did show him how to do that. I just had to show off his boxer briefs, they are too cute.
Yes, we have rocks in cages in our yard. They look pretty cool though right? We like them. We have one's for decorations, seats, and fountains. I know they are different but it adds so much to the yard. You need to come over sometime to see. Heehee rocks in cages. Sometimes they try to escape!
I feel like much of my day is dedicated to keeping baby Lane safe. Notice in the photo, now you understand. I really can't leave him anywhere. The minute I turn around Zackary (and Aaron, heehee) is trying something, all with good intentions, he is just being a 2 yr old (30 yr old). He doesn't quite grasp the concept of being gentle or personal space when it comes to Lane. Lane is tough though, watch out for paybacks someday! I busted out the bumbo today, works great! These are the best little chairs, they are perfect for this age when they can't do much but are interested in everything and attempting to be social. Lane our little social guy loved it.
