Sunday Sync

I know, I'm totally behind, and really struggling to keep the blog updated.  So here is the photo dump from a couple of days this week.  We did homemade pizza night, which is always fun and delicious.

This is pretty much how Zackary spends his afternoon and sometimes mornings.  Riding like crazy around the backyard on the plasma car.

Little missy and her snack cup.  It seems to be a necessity for her lately.  It's pretty amazing, she helps herself to the pantry, gets a snack cup and brings it to me or her brothers to fill it for her.  She is also quite the little hostess lately, she will hand out snacks to her brothers first then get one for herself too.

Otis is pretty much her best little friend.  Especially now that a snack cup is always involved.  He just follows her around waiting for crumbs.

Color Splash

Here I go again.  Changing things up.  I just finally decided I'm fet up with a brown house.  I feel like everything is some shade of tan and while I would love to repaint,  Aaron is just not on board right now.  So I'm going to have to make do with a few new accessories and splashes of color until we are ready to paint.
I picked up some new pictures at Kirkland that are yellow, teal, cream, and of course brown but they add color and bring in some new colors while still coordinating with the curtains and paint.  And the table was one we have had for about 8 years, and was trashed, so I decided it can't get any worse so painting teal wasn't a scary option.  It turned out pretty cute.  I could definitely put a coat of darker glaze or stain the sanded areas darker.  But with limited time, a baby sleeping, and no stain on hand, staining it with tea and a 3 year old helping (yes you read it right) will have to do for now.  I must say that it sure would look better against a lighter wall, a greige color but it will have to pacify my for a while.  I moved some pillows from other rooms to add color and picked up some cute accessories at HobLob.

And this little beauty came from World Market.  And even better, she is comfy to sit in.

I'm not sure about the rug but it is better than the brown, blue, and yellow one there before.

I still have a few more things to do and another table to paint but it is getting better.

Tooth Fairy

Well, the Tooth Fairy finally showed up at our house.  And I must say this is one pretty excited little boy.  His 2 bottom teeth have been loose for a few months and we check on them everyday.  I noticed that it was a little sideways and I offered to pull it out.  He declined my offer and  the different methods available that his aunt and uncle could come up with at the time.  Not 10 minutes later he whispered in my ear he wanted me to pull it out.  This was my first tooth pull so I took some pulling advise from Danielle (not sure why she knew this information) but it worked.  The Tooth Fairy showed up with a letter, a coloring page, and 2 gold coins (Sacajaweas), and some pretty pixie dust.

Labor Day 2012

We headed back up to the cabin for Labor Day to enjoy some fresh air and pine trees.  We did all the things we usually do.  Relax, hike, eat, play, fish...

Love my little ham...

Zackary spent a lot of time coloring pictures.  He has Aaron draw him a picture and he colors away.

We rode around the lake in the back of the truck together.  I have such great memories of riding around in the back of my dad's truck when I was a kid.  I hope we can create these great memories for our children.

My little grump.  He really is a super happy kid with a great since of humor but man he pushes.
Seriously, he puts on a grumpy face or closes his eyes when he sees the camera.
The picture below was a bribed grin.

What better to do with you time then to put rocks in a hole of the deck.

The Wedding Night (Iowa City)

We spent the day sleeping in and walking around Iowa City enjoying time with Aaron.  Here is a great photo of my ASU girls.  Kerry and I met in the famous Manzanita high rise dorm our freshman year and have been great friends ever since.

Good times dancing the night away!  I love weddings!

Iowa City

We spent a wonderful weekend in Iowa City celebrating with great friends.  We all headed back for Kerry and Nicks wedding.

What a great time it was being with our closest friends for the weekend and knowing all of our children where safely at home with their grandparents.

We spent a lot of time eating out and enjoying each others company (oh, and sleeping in really late).

Just a little male bonding going on!

Brand Spankin New

(I know this is the Toyota jump but it was a bet that I couldn't capture the jump, challenge accepted)
Well, we finally did it.  Ol' Blue has served us well and it was time for retirement.

Considering it was 12 years old with 200000+ miles on it and marked its territory every where it went, it was time.  Aaron finally got a new truck.  We went back and forth on what to buy and figured that a huge truck was the way to go!  Granted, we do realize that gas millage is terrible for commuting, but it was worth it in the end to have a truck that can fit the entire family and get us to places we enjoy up north.  Congrats Aaron, Enjoy!

Preschool

We returned to Totspot for another year of preschool with Lane.  He is going Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the morning.  He has such a great teacher.  I love these pictures and this face, seriously can he get any cuter.  He loves going, though it is sometimes a challage to get him there, he is always so happy at pick up and his teacher says he is wonderful and happy in class.  I'm sure the tude about leaving is just a little show for Mommy!
