Happy Birthday to my amazing hubby.
I had to post the series of events with the cake.  Yes, that is a Cars 2 World Grand Prix cake.  I always let the kids pick out the cake for Aaron.  The first choice was a horse cake but apparently it was sold out so we went with the runner up.

Saturday night we celebrated with friends.  We rode our bikes to the local sushi restaurant.  Man, that was fun.  I think it might be our new mode of transportation when possible.

Zoo Trip

It has been a while since we have been to the zoo.  Actually, so long that I let my membership lapse.  I have to admit, it was challenging taking 3 kids by myself, then it got too hot.  Well, I decided to take my 2 littles today and did we have a great time.  They did so well together.  Lane was a great big brother watching over and playing with his little sister.  We had a picnic,

Then passed out.  I had a quite ride home and we drove around for about an hour before we had to pick up Zackary from school.

Horses

As you know, Zackary loves horses right now.  I purchased a Groupon to try out some riding lessons.  And was that ever a great purchase.  He is loving it.  I got Lane in on one lesson and he really enjoyed it, but is still a little young and frequently got distracted.  We will try again in a couple of years if he is still interested.

 

 

He will be taking lessons on Wednesdays.  This is an easy activity for me too.  Lane and Chloe are easy to entertain while he enjoys his lesson. 

 

Mexico 2012

2nd Annual Fall Family Vacation.   The entire Allan Family packed up and headed to Rocky Point for Fall break and boy did we have a great time. 

We pretty much relaxed on the beach, ate, drank, and enjoyed good company. 

Chloe was loving the beach the first couple of days.  She wasn't a fan of the strong waves and wind the last couple days. 

 

As you can see, Lane loved the beach and wore himself out.

 

 

 

 

Zackary was quite the little sand castle builder and wave destroyer.  He loved the huge waves we were getting and boy was he a trooper getting smashed by the waves. 

 

 

 

 

The kids got to go horseback riding on the beach. 

 

We went out and about for something to do in the afternoon and learned that there are oyster farms right near by.  So we figured we would check them out.  Well, this is what we found.  An old run down shack with no one to be found.  But, there was some left over hot sauce at the tables. 

We had some fun.

 

The second one we went actually had some people there and we picked out some fresh oysters to take back. 

 

 Crabs, shell, and snails.  What could be more fun?

 

 

Can't wait till next year!

Sunday Sync

This will be my new name for dumping photos from my iPhone and camera that just need blog publishing.  I am going to sync the phone every Sunday, collage them, them publish them.  I have to get the day to day pictures off the phone because these are usually my favorites no one ever gets to see.  And I must say I LOVE this iPhone camera.  It takes better pictures then my little point and shoot I used to carry in my purse. 

Dollar Store Fun

The weather is finally tolerable outside so we decided to have some fun with some dollar store shaving cream.  Boy does this entertain for quite some time.  I just busted out the old empty turtle sand box and let them go to town.  Chloe dove right in.  There was some taste testing but it didn't last long.

Mustache Monday

Oh man was this a great spirit week theme.  Aaron went all out painting a handlebar mustache on Zackary.  It was hilarious seeing all the little kids with mustaches on their little faces. 
Zackary was such a good sport about it too.
