My Half Marathon

Lots of training actually went into half marathon.  I was dedicated and really stuck to a training schedule.  Having a running buddy helped a ton and I was set to do better in this half marathon than the one I did 10 years ago.  Thanks to Shannon I was forced to get up at the crack of dawn for 3 months to run.
We made it a little girls trip to San Diego for the race and had some nice relaxing girl time too.  I want to make a special shout out to Liz for going along for the support and being our cheer squad.  It was sure nice to see her cheering us on right before the finish line.

This race raised money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  I dedicated this race to my brother Jason that passed away from Lymphoma.  It was nice to have some extra motivation to run this for him.

Just some fun pictures of us picking up our packets and getting ready to run.

We had to be at the start line a few hours before the race.  Not really my thing to get up before the sun but I was slightly forced out of bed with bright lights and early birds in the room.

Wow that was an amazing amount of runners.  Who knew so many people ran this far!

Post race chocolate milk and a selfie.  I finished strong and ran the whole way!  2:28!  Much better than I had originally planned.  I'm a little over running for now.  On to the next venture.
Another special shout out to everyone for the support, especially my hubby that put up with Saturday mornings all by himself with the kids while I spent hours training.
Oh and listening to me complain about another long run.

Last day of Kindergarten

Wow! Where did the year go.  My baby is already done with Kindergarten and headed off to first grade.  I'm so proud of him!  He is reading like a champ and does very well is school.  We are so lucky to have such a great kid.  I thought I would add picture from the first day of school.  I can't believe how much his little face changed over the year.

Zackary won the Ryan Triple R Award.  Again, so proud of him.  Triple R Award stands for Respect, Responsibility, and Right to learn in a safe environment.  What a great award for a little boy to receive.  He has such a kind heart and is so good to others.

The first year of school was excellent.  Off to first grade...

Sunday Sync

I'm a little behind on just about everything.  At least I feel like it.  I took Chloe in about a month late for her 2 year well visit.  Everything looks good and she is growing great.  Here weight was 23 lbs.  She is my tiny one, and her height, well, I don't remember, but she is at the 70th percentile.  I do remember that!  3rd child I guess, hey don't judge!

Muffins for Mom

I got to celebrate Muffins for Mom at preschool with Lane.  He got to serve muffins, fruit, and juice.  I loved every minute of it.  They made us the best gift ever!  An apron with his hand prints and thumb prints.  It is absolutely adorable.  I can't wait to wear it.  Sorry about the blurry picture, I had Lane take it for me.

I love this little boy!

Sunday Sync

(can you tell she has 2 older brothers)

Just a little info on the ash urn...it was a prize at a landscape architecture awards ceremony.  Random I know, the winner didn't take it so I nabbed it right up.  Why would I want an ash tray?  I needed a garbage can for the backyard and my handy hubby will have to figure out a way to make it into one.   Yeah, the perks of being the presidents wife.
