Evening Out

Aaron and I got to have a nice evening out dressed up and all! Aaron had another awards banquet for Water Tower Park and Western Powerline Trail. The ceremony was at the Wild Horse Pass, black tie affair, wine, dinner, and desert. I'm so proud of Aaron, he won another 3 awards for these two parks. What a talented man! I love the picture of Zackary sneaking into our photo, how cute are those little puppy dog eyes.

Two proud Mommy's!

Schnepf Farms

We spent the evening at Schnepf Farms with some wonderful friends and had such a great time. This year the kids had so much fun. We went on the train, a hay ride, roller coasters, swings, saw some stinky animals in the petting zoo, had a great dinner, danced to the band, and played in a faux pumpkin patch. We finally got some good family shots together.

These are the swings I was talking about. You know the huge mechanical ones. I was watching Aaron and Zackary on this cute little bumble bee ride, it ended and I couldn't find them. I look over and Aaron is putting Zackary in the huge swing ride, ahhhh! I ran over and Zackary was so excited, not scared at all.

So then I took him on the roller coaster. He just barely made the height requirement. We were the first ones on, he got to choose any seat on the coaster...guess what the little dare devil chose! The very back seat! That's my BOY. Just like his mom. He did great on it, after he said to Aaron "I didn't like when it went down." We had to pose in front of the ride together.

Sleeping

I've been waiting for this photo for a few years now. A baby being so tired that he couldn't even stay awake to finish putting the food into his mouth. Lane was apparently so tired he just couldn't do it any longer.

Zackary trying to wake him up. He got a little eye!

Barely balancing his head up.

And OUT! About 5 seconds later he was tipped over with his head on the side of the tray. I felt so bad. He literally was putting food into his mouth, I turned around to grab a drink for him, I looked back, and he was out. Let's just say he went right to sleep in his bed.

Outside

We have been spending a lot of time outside lately. The weather is so nice, actually they can't stay inside longer than a few hours without getting too wild.

Why is it that going outside can solve any problem?

Gotta love that drool and that he is sitting on the dog!

Lane's Graduation

Talk about impressive! A 10 month old baby that can float all on his own after falling in the pool! It is the most amazing thing to watch. Of course it made me almost cry just thinking that this really could happen without me being around. I just get chills thinking about how wonderful it is to know that he could survive if he were to ever fall into a pool. Maybe this will make him a great swimmer in the future.

Waving

Lane has been waving for a little while now. I finally captured it in a picture. It is so stinkin' cute. He actually has two waves. His floppy baby wave and his parade wave. No Joke he waves like he is in parade or has been taught by a pageant girl. Today he woke up hearing Aaron's truck leaving and woke up waving saying Dada. I couldn't believe it, he already knows the sound of Aaron's truck.

Sundays

This is usually how we spend our Sundays. Who ever wakes up first and the first child to wake up heads to Basha's to pick up Starbucks and donuts. Zackary always makes a huge mess of his donut and chocolate milk. I think it is so funny that we have to get him a drink at Starbucks or he gets said and says "where is my coffee." He is already addicted!
We venture out for some fun outsides. Luckily it is cooling off so we can actually stand it outside. What his is about kids that the heat doesn't bother them at all?
We are growing watermelon in our little garden. All of the sudden we have so many growing. We finally got the courage to pick one. It was mighty tasty! We sat out in the grass and ate our very own watermelon.

Dirty Boys

Now that the weather if finally cooling off we have been spending much more time outside. The only hard thing is that Lane Loves to eat and/or taste all the rocks. I keep telling him they all taste the same but he doesn't seem to believe me. I love the blue eyes these guys have.

Soccer

Zackary started soccer today. It is Scoccertots, a parent involved 2 year old class. It was really fun, Aaron and Zackary got to run drills and kick the ball around. Lane and I baked on the sidelines, but enjoyed watching them.

After,we spent some time playing at Tumbleweed park.

Graduation

Zackary had his first graduation. His tested out of ISR swimming today. I cannot believe that he has learned to swim in the last 6 weeks. I took him about 2 weeks to really start to enjoy it. From then on he asked about it everyday. It was quite the commitment, 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week, for 6 weeks. Wow, I can't believe I passed! It is worth every minute of it.

ISR consists of 2 days of testing, one in summer clothes and one in winter clothes. This is because if they were to fall in, most likely it would not be in a swimsuit. It just proves that they can swim in clothes and shoes and make it to the edge of a pool.

Zackary jumped in, swam for a little, flipped over to float for air, then swam to the instructor. It was so amazing, I got chills. I am so proud of him!

Whoa hair

I just had to show off Lane's CRAZY hair. He usually has a natural comb over regardless of the way we comb it. But lately, its just out of control!

Tupperware

Well, Lane discovered the tupperware drawer. This means for the next year or so we will have tupperware scattered all over our house. The rest of the cabinets are locked of course, but we figured tupperware entertainment is a must for a baby.

NO Naps

This is what we get on no nap days. A completely exhausted 2 year old. He officially crashed. We are in a transition of not napping. He literally goes and goes and goes all day and then crashes around 7. My mom says it is pay backs! Otherwise, he gets a nap and is ready to party until 10 pm, which, well, ummm, is WAY to late for him (or maybe us). He is always pleasant to goes MANIC late at night. I just thought this was the cutest thing. Aaron and I were having dinner and put on a movie for him, the last thing he asked was "what am I watching." The the next thing we find is this, Monkey as his pillow and he was fast asleep on our coffee table.

I love it.

The Cabin

All the fun things to do at the cabin. We had such a great time this weekend. We had a couple of firsts. Went fishing with Opa, fed the birds, took long walks in the forest, enjoyed good company, and relaxed. Aaron and I even got to go on a little date. We headed into Flagstaff for a movie. Now that is my kind of camping!
