Tooth Fairy

Well, the Tooth Fairy finally showed up at our house.  And I must say this is one pretty excited little boy.  His 2 bottom teeth have been loose for a few months and we check on them everyday.  I noticed that it was a little sideways and I offered to pull it out.  He declined my offer and  the different methods available that his aunt and uncle could come up with at the time.  Not 10 minutes later he whispered in my ear he wanted me to pull it out.  This was my first tooth pull so I took some pulling advise from Danielle (not sure why she knew this information) but it worked.  The Tooth Fairy showed up with a letter, a coloring page, and 2 gold coins (Sacajaweas), and some pretty pixie dust.

Labor Day 2012

We headed back up to the cabin for Labor Day to enjoy some fresh air and pine trees.  We did all the things we usually do.  Relax, hike, eat, play, fish...

Love my little ham...

Zackary spent a lot of time coloring pictures.  He has Aaron draw him a picture and he colors away.

We rode around the lake in the back of the truck together.  I have such great memories of riding around in the back of my dad's truck when I was a kid.  I hope we can create these great memories for our children.

My little grump.  He really is a super happy kid with a great since of humor but man he pushes.
Seriously, he puts on a grumpy face or closes his eyes when he sees the camera.
The picture below was a bribed grin.

What better to do with you time then to put rocks in a hole of the deck.

The Wedding Night (Iowa City)

We spent the day sleeping in and walking around Iowa City enjoying time with Aaron.  Here is a great photo of my ASU girls.  Kerry and I met in the famous Manzanita high rise dorm our freshman year and have been great friends ever since.

Good times dancing the night away!  I love weddings!

Iowa City

We spent a wonderful weekend in Iowa City celebrating with great friends.  We all headed back for Kerry and Nicks wedding.

What a great time it was being with our closest friends for the weekend and knowing all of our children where safely at home with their grandparents.

We spent a lot of time eating out and enjoying each others company (oh, and sleeping in really late).

Just a little male bonding going on!

Brand Spankin New

(I know this is the Toyota jump but it was a bet that I couldn't capture the jump, challenge accepted)
Well, we finally did it.  Ol' Blue has served us well and it was time for retirement.

Considering it was 12 years old with 200000+ miles on it and marked its territory every where it went, it was time.  Aaron finally got a new truck.  We went back and forth on what to buy and figured that a huge truck was the way to go!  Granted, we do realize that gas millage is terrible for commuting, but it was worth it in the end to have a truck that can fit the entire family and get us to places we enjoy up north.  Congrats Aaron, Enjoy!

Preschool

We returned to Totspot for another year of preschool with Lane.  He is going Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the morning.  He has such a great teacher.  I love these pictures and this face, seriously can he get any cuter.  He loves going, though it is sometimes a challage to get him there, he is always so happy at pick up and his teacher says he is wonderful and happy in class.  I'm sure the tude about leaving is just a little show for Mommy!

Little Missy

Chloe loves her some yogurt!  She likes to hold her spoon and eat with her fingers from the other hand.  And I tell you she can make a pretty good mess!  How can you resist that little face and pig tails?

And someone is learning to be a little climber.  I keep finding her on the table if a chair is left out.  I think I'm in for it, my mom just says its paybacks!

Friday Photo Dump

I have seen this a few other times.  One of my good friends does this.  I think it is so great to show pictures that probably won't otherwise be seen by anyone.  So here you have it, my Friday Photo Dump (I'm trying to think of a new clever name, but haven't yet).  I'm really going to try to keep up with this.  Now I just have to figure out how to get all the photos off my phone that get taken in the moment and collage them without taking 2 weeks!

What I've been up to

This is the reason why I have been so neglectful of my poor blog lately.  ORGANIZING.  I couldn't take our den and our laundry room dumping ground any longer.  Luckily, there is a door to this room so no one else has to witness this catastrophe.

Here was the start of the organizing.  The ribbon and girly craft supplies.

Arron and I decided to remove all of the objects out of the den one Saturday afternoon (about 2 months ago) and move in the 4 shelves we had bought.

Thinking we could just get started on the weekend and finish in the next few days.  I'm not sure what we were thinking.  Cause then we decided that it really needed to be painted before we mount about 8 nine foot shelves to the wall.  So then we called the painter.  We don't even attempt to paint anymore (at least until we don't have 3 little helpers).

And then, here sat the shelves in the middle of the room for the next couple of weeks.  We decided that we had better get all the shelves we wanted so we could decide on the configuration we wanted and make sure it would work before we anchored them all to the walls.  Forever.

Just another mess of what we had to deal with.  Those dang cords.  I do have a little project in mind I found on Pinterest to contain those bad boys.

And here you have it!  Our beautiful little den/craft room.  The paint is Dunn Edwards Foggy Day, which I love.  Although in my picture it looks off.  I have moved everything out of the laundry room that doesn't belong in there and each box is organized.  The books are organized by theme/topic.  I love it!  It feels so good to have one project down.  I just need to get a few more boxes put together and finish the bottom shelves.  But man is this a relief.

Note: to make your house feel larger, move everything out of rooms into your entry way, living room, and dining room for about a month and then put it all away in a new spot.  It's amazing how big it will feel when you aren't going through a maze every time you answer the door or use the restroom.  Thanks heavens for baby gates during this production!
