AMACOCCO

The boys and I headed out to Amacocco with some friends to check out this traveling art piece.  Wow what a great experience.  The boys had a blast running through the tunnels and seeing all the vibrant colors.

Dinner with Friends

I've been a little behind on the blog front, I have been taking the pictures and have them uploaded, but just haven't had the chance to write about them.  I feel like I'm trying to get everything ready and am just spinning my wheels.  Anyways, Aaron prepared an excellent dinner, we had tons of food and thought inviting some friends over would be a great idea.  And as always we had tons of fun and all the kids had a blast together.

Prep

Aaron is in preparing a nice dinner for tomorrow night. He had planned on making it Sunday night and I got stuck at work later than planned. I can't wait to find out what is in store for me tomorrow night. I'm sure it will be delish. All I have to do is stick it in the oven and have it ready for when he gets home from work tomorrow night. Can it get any better than that?

34 Weeks

I'm in the last stretch of this pregnancy. 6 weeks max to go. It has gone by so fast. We are slowly getting things ready. The room is painted and crib is adjusted, bedding is washed and some of the decorations are hung in the nursery. I have been really good about not buying too many things, I have 2 showers next week and can't wait. I have such amazing friends, family, and coworkers to put on showers for me. I'm sure after those she will be well dressed and accesserized. I feel like my belly is getting so big, but I definetly feel smaller that I did with both boys.  Notice the bump on the top of my bump, that would be one of her extremities poking out.  What a crazy but amazing feeling.  I'm feeling really good, I have energy and I'm surely nesting. I really don't have too many complaints, just the typical feeling of the hips spreding, the occasional low back pain, and the pressure, but otherwise I'm able to chase my 2 littles around for the most part. I'm still working my long shifts at the hospital and plan to up until I deliver.
We decided on a name a few weeks ago...Chloe Faith
I love it and it feels so perfect. I can't wait to meet this little girl!

Painting

Yes, we spent another afternoon painting. These boys could paint all day if I had enough things for them to paint. We went to Hobby Lobby this morning to pick out some more little wooden toys and got some new paint. We enjoyed the beautiful spring afternoon and bonus...Oreo McFlurry and sundaes.

TIF

Has anyone ever experienced TIF? A great friend of mine introduced me to this delishishness a few years ago and for some reason we never make it. It is incredibly easy and yummy. Tonight we decided to let the kids help and make some. TIF stands for...wait for it...
Things In Foil! Briliant right?
We cut up tons of veggies, threw in some spices, added some sausage, wrapped it in foil, and threw it on the grill.
And here you have it, TIF. This is probably going to make several appearances at our house. And its always different depending on what we have on hand.

Today I can home from work to find my boys "just chillin." This is what Zackary told me they were doing. The were watching The Little Mermaid, obvioulsy Lane wan't very interest, and Aaron was playing phone games.

Greetings

As I pulled the truck into the garage from a long day at work, this little naked cutie greeted me with a huge smile! Gotta love coming home to happy faces after a long day.

This makes me crazy

Does this make anyone else crazy? All the pretty colors of play dough mixed into 1 nasty mess of colors. Today we busted out all new colors and within minutes it was this big giant patty of blah. A good friend of mine told me I really need to get over this. It is good learning what mixing all the different colors makes. However, it always turns to a nice poo color. I have given up the battle, but I find myself getting a little frustrated when the mixing occurs. I just try to keep my mouth shut and my twitch to a minimum.
Why should I care when they are having so much fun?

Surgery

Lane had a little minor surgery. And I must say...he did amazing. Fortunately because I work there, I got to hand pick all the nurses and doctors to take care of my precious little Baby Lane. One of the many perks of being a nurse. The anesthesiologist came in on his day off to take care of my baby. I'm so blessed to have this extra special care. He went in and woke up like a little champ without any tears. He drank a couple of juice boxes, ate a Popsicle, picked out stickers and prizes, then we headed home. Lane was so thoughtful of his big brother and told us that 2 of the stickers and 1 of the prizes was for Bubba. They truly are best friends. Thanks to everyone for their prayers, support, and to my friends at work...you guys rock!

Rooms

We finally got the beds for the boys put together, well almost. We just need to get the drawers put together for Zackary's bed then I can get all the clothes put away and everything organized. The room is a work in progress. I have a few things I want to add, I just need to order them. I think this is how we are going to keep the beds right now, I think it looks cute. I would prefer to keep Lane in his crib, because sleeping is quite the stressful process at our house right now. It's like a party every night. I'm sure they will eventually get used to it and go to bed a little easier.

Here is another little sneak peak at the nursery.
I think the stripes. Now just for all the decorations and accessories. I love pink!

An Amazing Man

My amazing Grandfather Roy Carlson passed away in December. However, today we celebrated his life with a small get together and service at my Grandmothers house. It was a great service and we all spent some time remembering how special he was and laughing at funny stories everyone had to tell. My grandparents are such amazing role models being happily married for 64 years.
He loved to restore old cars and jeeps and refinish antiques, he was a perfectionist.
I have so many wonderful memories of spending time with him and going for rides in all the cars he fixed up.
We all will miss him dearly.

Eggs and Bones

I know it sounds weird, but we love getting creative with food to get the kids excited to eat new or random foods.  Tonight we had dinosaur eggs and bones covered in sauce.  The kids thought it was fun to eat something special like this for dinner.  We also say broccoli are trees that need to be trimmed.  I love their reactions to the random things we say we are eating.

Who needs beds?

This is what we found when we went to check on the boys before bed tonight. Zackary half way in bed and Lane in the middle of the room. How is it that they can be perfectly happy sleeping this way? I keep finding Lane sleeping on the floor. We had a challenge the other night getting him to sleep so we put him back in the crib. Well, apparently he climbed out and fell asleep in the middle of the room, and without me knowing I went to check on him and stepped on him.
He is obviously over the crib thing, but doesn't seem to stay in bed. How cute is this?

Sneak Peak

Here is a little sneak peak of the new nursery. Yes, bubble gum pink, and so far I love it. The painters have to come back to do a couple more things. I can't wait to get it all set up. The due date is really sneaking up fast!

Digging

Somehow our yard is digger central. Every kid including my own feel the need to dig in our yard. We have done everything to somewhat control the rock situation but for some reason the LOVE digging in the yard. Perhaps it is the thousand dump trucks and shovels we have. Notice the empty sandbox, that is because they (my children) emptied it within a couple of days of us filling it up so we decided not to refill it right now. My only rule right now is to keep the rocks OFF the patio and the pavers. And I'm sticking to it. I've given up the battle of digging and moving rocks...it's way too much work.
The boys found some mud as you can see. This is how Lane showed up from around the corner. Zackary and Ryan came shortly after covered in mud and explained to us how they were throwing mud balls.
I say it again, boy will be boys.
Zackary is really into coloring and drawing right now. His new thing is to trace peoples feet on the ground then make a little person out of it. He even makes them boys and girls if you know what I mean.

Creations

Just another one of Aaron's fantastic creations. It's salmon not a giant carrot.
Here is Lane's creation. He is really into cutting whether it is with scissors or knifes he loves it.
 Doesn't it look appetizing?
